1. Clean.
2. By clean, I mean SPOTLESS.
3. Fresh.
4. Seemingly organized.
5. And the Feeling of Belonging.

These are the TOP 5 reasons why I would love to live and stay in Sing. SINGAPORE it is. Yes I’ve counted clean twice as it really is the cleanest city I’ve ever been. No joke. I am not romanticizing; I think I could just sit and stay anywhere, at any floor, any time.

I only got to roam around the city for 12 hours and at that time I have madly fallen in love with the city… As an Asian – by color, by heart and by blood, it is effortlessly easy entering Singapore. No visa needed, just show your passport and you’d automatically get a visit pass (that is in our case… since we happened to be transit passengers heading to Dubai.)

I was really impressed with how the government maintained the cleanliness of the city, no pile of rubbish on the streets, zero scavengers, hardly any beggars. And mind you! They are damn serious with being a go-green country. Do you know that in any food chain, they won’t serve tissue with your order? They are saving trees! Save the world, so better bring your own. Hahaha! Buti na lang girl scout ako. 🙂 Though I have this extreme fascination with the surrounding, there’s only one thing I don’t understand; why did they disappoint me when I entered the loo. It’s just a meter away. It only needed a little push, alam mo yun? konting tulak na lang eh… bibigay na talaga ako… I could have given Sing my 100% love. Hahaha! Ang arte! Sanay lang siguro ako sa spacious and hygienic restrooms sa UAE… or ok… I could just… you know, turn a blind eye and let that slip.

After all, it really looked like a decent place to live (or so I think)… They have an uncomplicated public transpo – systemized and efficient. No congested traffic coz’ people prefer to ride the metro than taking cars (I heard it was very expensive). And why would you need that if the train could bring you anywhere without hassle? I mean seriously, with a dollar or two per ride? Worth it!

Kapamilya. You made me feel that I belong. Asia kasi eh, we have the same height, di nagkakalayong kutis, timbang at built ng katawan. I think that’s what I loved the most. Yung feeling na familiar. I can even smell Pilipinas from there. Malapit. Same time zone. Same sun and moon. Saraaaaaaaaap… 🙂 and the summer breeze na tama lang… ang inuman anytime… pwede ka eh. Pwede ka talaga..

Actually, these were just impressions, if you we’re a guy, I’d really like to know you better. Like anu bang future ang ma-ooffer mo sakin? Hahaha! Baliw! Napadaan lang naman kami dito from Manila going back to Dubai pero talagang it hit me. May tama. It made me google-d opportunities for a week… but just like long relationships na hindi mo basta basta maiwan, I have a lot of things to consider… So maybe we have the right love at the wrong time… haha! Next time na lang ulet ha, I’d spend a little more time with you o baka tayo pa ang magkatuluyan… 🙂

24-hour round trip flight. That’s the travel time I had to endure just to see my bestest of friends. Too bad Mabel wasn’t able to make it.

As soon as we’ve arrived China, the fun, kalokohan and picture taking never did stop. We’ve went to places as planned and almost did everything we wanted except to eat siomai, ride the subway and find champoy.

Beijing, being the capital of China is a very large city. There are a lot of places to see and has a very rich political history. And of course, everybody knows that this is where you can see the GREAT WALL.

Yes! I’ve conquered it! I am a HERO. : )

Ok lah, ok lah? It was so much fun except for the first night where in we’ve stayed in LOONG GARDEN. It was a very scary place, isolated and you’d feel like you are starring in the movie “The Ring – Beijing Version”.  We decided to sleep in just 1 room, took a bath with the bathrm door opened and didn’t even bother to take pictures; afraid that there might be spirits that would just sit beside one of us! Haha! Crazy!

Good thing we were able to transfer the next day to Joy Hotel which was in the middle of the city, very clean, newly made and modernized. PERFECT!

Anyway, here are some few facts/ guides when going to Beijing:

1. Currency is Yuan / RMB. Make sure to have your money changed in the airport.
2. Never lodge in a 3-star hotel. Check the net so you won’t be sorry and waste money.
3. Nobody speaks English. Ok, i’d change that.. Hmm. VERY FEW. As in FEW. So it would really help if you’d hire a tour guide who would translate everything for you. Or else, you’d loose your patience, cry in the middle of the street and just.. ahhhh!! Die! haha!
4. They are very consistent when it comes to public toilet. Consistently awful. So be ready upon entering; inhale a lot of air before going inside. Always bring a sanitizer and tissue with you.
5. Get a service van. It is so much better than trying to ride the Subway. they might direct you to the nearest sandwich stand. : )
6. Bring a very comfortable shoe wear, mostly flats; because Beijing is a never-ending walking!
7. Be FIRM and be a FIGHTER. Coz in Beijing Bazaare, we’ce conclude one thing: “Away muna bago bili!”  Don’t be scared to bargain coz in the end you will always win. Proven! TOP TIP: Always buy 1/4 of the original price given. If it’s 100, buy it for 20-25RMB. No more. No less. 🙂
8. BANGS are Beautiful. All women are wearing the same hair style.

So what else to do!!?? 4 years ago, when I went to Hongkong, I had my hair cut – HK Style just 2 hours before my return flight.

So I guess you already know what happened next.. This time with my laughin’ buddy — Neh. 😉

I just landed in HK airport and I have a terrible headache.

I thought I could easily put myself to sleep in a DXB-HKG 8-hour flight but na-ah. I guess there are things that changed. No matter what position I have made, numerous tilt attempts I did, nada. No effect. My mind cannot rest.

I guess I am missing our bed already and my hub.. I wonder how he’s doing and how did he get through the night.. Hmm. Anyway, I’ll be back in a bit.

I have a 3 and half hour flight to take to reach Beijing, I’ll just try and make a sleep so that I wouldn’t be a Zombie walking around the city. Ciao!
