In my opinion, isang patunay na ikaw ay ganap ng OFW kapag fan ka na ng TFC (The Filipino Channel).
Many people conclude that it gives us a taste of our beloved country and I could not agree more. I am a subscriber for a year now and just because I’m going gaga over PBB’s Big Night yesterday, I want to remember the TV shows na kina-aadikan ko sa TFC while I’m here in the Middle East.
WOWOWEE. Oh yes! One of the shows na hindi ko pinapansin noon sa Pilipinas. Now, I like it when I’m off on a week day, I would wake up at 11am, would turn on the telly and there maya maya I’m laughing over Poky’s joke or crying over people’s story in Willie of Fortune. At first I do not understand the fun in watching this till I started appreciating the amazing prizes they were giving away. I know some people would think it’s baduy to watch Wowowee, yeah I’m one of them — only not anymore. I think this is a show that gives hope to a lot of people lalo na to those who are less fortunate. Of course, I’m not saying that people should solely rely in game shows but it is fun and with luck, it really could change people’s lives. I would even want to play for Cash MoTo or Hep Hep Hoorah in the future! I think it’s really fun. Hahaha! Crazy!
ASAP XV. Ah-huh… Sunday Variety Show. Isa lang ang masasabi ko. Walang laro ng PS3 si Stephen pag Sunday coz’ it’s my tv night. Yes. Gabi po ang palabas ng noon time shows dito. Lurve the production numbers and Supah Dance. Astig most of ABS-CBN’s talent and of course si Sarah G, Everytime I watch this, I feel that it’s Sunday afternoon at home with Mom and Ayen, all lying on the couch tapos after ASAP aantukin na, magmemeryenda and pag gising mo, The Buzz na. haha! Brings me back to weekend life in Manila.
THE BUZZ and SNN. Speaking of, as much as you want to deny na hindi ka chismosa, you would still find your self hooked to these shows. It’s entertaining and very Pinoy. Even if you get the same answer to “What’s the score between the two of you? – Friends lang po kami.” I still love Boy, I like Kris and I love Ruffa’s gown and make up. 🙂
PBB (Pinoy Big Brother) The recent Double Up Edition is the craziest! If I get home late, hinto ang pagluluto pag PBB na and if Pen is in the middle of his PS3 game, hinto din kung hindi gulo na ito! Hahaha! I would always ensure that I had freshened up before 10:45 at night kasi pag 10:50, PBB na! Yey! Now I am a bit sad ‘coz it already ended yesterday. I think buong Pilipinas kagulo din kagabi. Haha! Buti nlng simultaneous ang airing last night kaya we were at pace with Pinas! Even Facebook and Twitter were flooded with PBB Updates. My bet was Paul Jake but he came 2nd best. Pwede na din ‘coz Melai is also a real big winner – very comical and funny. People love her. PJ Happy, Isay Happy, Everybody Happy! Kudos to their team and to their beautiful hostesses Toni, Mariel and Bianca and syempre si Big Brother!
So there… the show that entertains me the Filipino way. Some people say that Filipino Channels are such a waste of time, that it’s a joke and full of drama at the same time. Yeah maybe they’re right, but maybe those are also the same exact reason why a lot of Filipinos abroad are subscribers; because even if we have lived away from our country for number of years, being melodramatic and being happy people are two things that you cannot take away from every Filipino.
Okay… Enough. I sound like a fan. On the contrary I don’t really like all the teleserye except if it’s John Lloyd-Bea or a show that involves my ultimate crush Anne Curtis. Ok fine. Sige na nga. Fan na!
Ah. Basta. Ako. Kapamilya.
