1. Clean.
2. By clean, I mean SPOTLESS.
3. Fresh.
4. Seemingly organized.
5. And the Feeling of Belonging.
These are the TOP 5 reasons why I would love to live and stay in Sing. SINGAPORE it is. Yes I’ve counted clean twice as it really is the cleanest city I’ve ever been. No joke. I am not romanticizing; I think I could just sit and stay anywhere, at any floor, any time.
I only got to roam around the city for 12 hours and at that time I have madly fallen in love with the city… As an Asian – by color, by heart and by blood, it is effortlessly easy entering Singapore. No visa needed, just show your passport and you’d automatically get a visit pass (that is in our case… since we happened to be transit passengers heading to Dubai.)
I was really impressed with how the government maintained the cleanliness of the city, no pile of rubbish on the streets, zero scavengers, hardly any beggars. And mind you! They are damn serious with being a go-green country. Do you know that in any food chain, they won’t serve tissue with your order? They are saving trees! Save the world, so better bring your own. Hahaha! Buti na lang girl scout ako. 🙂 Though I have this extreme fascination with the surrounding, there’s only one thing I don’t understand; why did they disappoint me when I entered the loo. It’s just a meter away. It only needed a little push, alam mo yun? konting tulak na lang eh… bibigay na talaga ako… I could have given Sing my 100% love. Hahaha! Ang arte! Sanay lang siguro ako sa spacious and hygienic restrooms sa UAE… or ok… I could just… you know, turn a blind eye and let that slip.
After all, it really looked like a decent place to live (or so I think)… They have an uncomplicated public transpo – systemized and efficient. No congested traffic coz’ people prefer to ride the metro than taking cars (I heard it was very expensive). And why would you need that if the train could bring you anywhere without hassle? I mean seriously, with a dollar or two per ride? Worth it!
Kapamilya. You made me feel that I belong. Asia kasi eh, we have the same height, di nagkakalayong kutis, timbang at built ng katawan. I think that’s what I loved the most. Yung feeling na familiar. I can even smell Pilipinas from there. Malapit. Same time zone. Same sun and moon. Saraaaaaaaaap… 🙂 and the summer breeze na tama lang… ang inuman anytime… pwede ka eh. Pwede ka talaga..
Actually, these were just impressions, if you we’re a guy, I’d really like to know you better. Like anu bang future ang ma-ooffer mo sakin? Hahaha! Baliw! Napadaan lang naman kami dito from Manila going back to Dubai pero talagang it hit me. May tama. It made me google-d opportunities for a week… but just like long relationships na hindi mo basta basta maiwan, I have a lot of things to consider… So maybe we have the right love at the wrong time… haha! Next time na lang ulet ha, I’d spend a little more time with you o baka tayo pa ang magkatuluyan… 🙂
